The Mask was a great comedic movie that had a very interesting story line to it. Even though this isn’t what I would call a horror movie I can see where people can think of it as one. The fact that some characters have been turned evil from the mask could be what makes people think that it is a horror film. Even though this movie had some dark elements to it I wouldn’t call this movie a horror.
For me the best part of this movie was seeing someone under so much stress just let go and become their true self for once, Stanley’s character flaws are shown throughout the whole movie but it is shown that he can’t help it. It was interesting seeing him become so carefree once the mask was on, you could tell how much being who he really was helped Stanley Ipkiss take charge of his life.
